After more than 45 years in downtown Tampa, Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas (TECO) are establishing a new headquarters at Midtown East, marking a significant evolution for the organization. Spanning 300,000 square feet, the new workplace places TECO at the center of Tampa’s growing business district, offering expansive views of the Tampa Bay area and a strong presence within one of the region’s premier workforce destinations.

Project Intent

Designed to support a modern, high-performance work environment, the headquarters reflects TECO’s forward-looking vision while accommodating the needs of a dynamic and evolving workforce. The space balances openness and transparency with privacy and flexibility, creating an environment that fosters collaboration, efficiency, and long-term adaptability.

Workscapes played a key role in shaping the interior environment, installing over 4,800 linear feet of DIRTT walls throughout the space. This comprehensive interior storefront scope includes operable partitions, switch glass, and specialty curved glass, delivering both functionality and visual impact. The modular wall systems provide flexibility for future reconfiguration, allowing the workplace to evolve alongside TECO’s needs while maintaining a clean, sophisticated aesthetic.

The result is a future-ready headquarters that supports innovation, enhances the employee experience, and reinforces TECO’s continued investment in the Tampa community.
