Light the Night 2021

The Workscapes team is excited to announce that we are once again partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the Light the Night Event.

We will be participating in the Tampa and Jacksonville events as well as sponsoring the event in Orlando this year.

The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. They are the voice for all blood cancer patients, and they work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.

This cause is personal to the Workscapes team as our Workplace Success Consultant Will Dvorak is a two-time lymphoma survivor. Will serves on the board for LLS in Tampa and is the co-chair for fundraising in Tampa. The event this year takes place virtually via Zoom on 11/18/21 from 7-8pm EST.

Through their nationwide grassroots network of more than 100,000 volunteers, they advocate for policies at the state and federal level in a commitment to remove barriers to care for cancer patients. Their efforts have helped increase federal research funds, speed the review and approval process of new therapies, and ensure patients are able to access lifesaving treatments. Many of the policies that they advocate for, at the state and federal levels, are universally beneficial for all cancer patients.

LLS is at the forefront of the fight to cure cancer. Compared to other blood cancer nonprofits, LLS is the largest funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures. They have invested nearly $1.3 billion in research and are leaders in advancing breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine. Their research saves lives. These revolutionary new treatments originally discovered through blood cancer research are now being tested in clinical trials for other cancers.
