On May 10th, 2019 members of the Fort Myers Workscapes Team participated in Women Build which is a program that empowers women as homeowners, volunteers, philanthropists and community members. It attracts women from all walks of life who want to make a profound difference for families in their community. Women who volunteer on a Women Build site gain new skills, meet new friends and make a tangible impact in a way that they often have never experienced before. Best of all, no construction or repair experience is needed!

The mission of the Women Build is to engage woman in the effort to provide safe and decent homes for families in need of affordable housing, BY recruiting, educating, and inspiring women to build, they can transform lives in their communities. Since 2011, Women Build in Lee and Hendry Counties has partnered with 18 families to build strength and stability for 41 children and their parents through local fundraising and volunteer efforts. Together, we will raise 243,000 to build two new houses, transforming raw materials into homes that will empower our two Women Build families for generations.

The two homes this year, one for Stephanie and one for Roseline! In the Fort Myers and Cape Coral Area
