A global study by “Clinician of the Future” has reported that 31% of clinicians globally, and 47% of U.S. healthcare workers, plan to leave their current role within the next two to three years. While focuses are usually directed on improving the patient experience, it is time to start listening to healthcare staff.

Augmented Intelligence

According to the American Medical Association, "augmented intelligence" is the concept of using artificial intelligence for assistive purposes. Clinicians predict that 'technology literacy' will be the most valuable skill over the next decade, ranking ahead of 'clinical knowledge'. In fact, 56% of his clinicians predict they will base most of their clinical decisions on artificial intelligence-powered tools. However, 69% say they are overwhelmed by the amount of data they currently have, and 69% expect the proliferation of digital health technologies to become an even greater burden in the future. Healthcare workers need updated trainings to keep up with how quickly these advances are happening. Creating spaces to teach and learn within facilities is more important than ever. Our solutions can create flexible space where this can be achieved.

Comfortable Spaces

As the standards for the workplace evolves, there has been an increased focus on creating a comfortable environment. To promote better mental health, clarity, and work-life balance companies have been redesigning their spaces. Providing amenities like gyms, healthy food options, and outdoor gardens have become a standard. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s new healthcare facility broke ground in 2019 in the Longwood neighborhood and will include an 11K SF sixth-floor healing garden for staff, patients and families when it is expected to open in 2022. Constructing these healing spaces for both patients and staff will help to allow individuals take peaceful clarity breaks and enjoy fresh air easily during their day.
